Cloud Nine Learning Academy is a boutique, Montessori-inspired, nature-based childcare program intentionally designed to feel like an extension of home—warm, nurturing, personalized, and rooted in high-quality early education. What makes our program unique is our small ratio, individualized learning environment, and the blend of Montessori, hands-on, and nature-rich experiences we offer. Our philosophy is simple: children thrive when they are seen, supported, and surrounded by intentional care.

Meet Smerlin — Owner & Lead Educator
My name is Smerlin Cespedes Pucci, and Cloud Nine Learning Academy is the heart project I have dreamed about for years. I am a wife, mother, and educator with over a decade of teaching experience. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Management, and I hold the following Florida state certifications:
Elementary Education K–6
Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K–12
Lower Elementary Montessori Certification (AMS 6–9)
My career has taken me through special needs classrooms, charter Montessori environments, and Title I schools as an ESE resource teacher and Interventionist. These experiences shaped my understanding of child development, individualized learning, and the importance of responsive, loving care.
At Cloud Nine, I bring my background in Montessori philosophy, early literacy, special education, and child-centered instruction to create a learning environment that is intentional, calm, warm, and enriching. My goal is to provide a boutique experience where each child receives the attention, respect, and guidance they deserve.
When I’m not working with little learners, I enjoy reading, writing, yoga, hiking, and—above all—being a mom to my inquisitive, energetic, independent, sassy, and silly daughter, Penelope.
Meet Catalina — Co-Teacher & Heart of Our Kitchen
My mother, Catalina, joins me in this beautiful venture. She is the mother of five grown children and grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. She has a natural gift for nurturing, creating, and caring. Catalina brings warmth and culture to our program—from home-cooked meals to arts, crafts, and storytelling.
She loves the beach, making things with her hands, spending time with her family, and doting on her fur baby, Lola. Together, we enjoy concerts, traveling, and sharing good food—moments that strengthen the bond we bring into our work every day.
